Our Story

Bloom Bras Body Inclusivity Group Shot
Finding a sports bra that fits and supports your curves can be incredibly challenging. Most sports bras are designed for straight-lined women, which means they often don't fit curvy women well. This can cause discomfort and even pain when working out.

Bloom Bras are designed specifically for the curvier woman. We use breathable fabric, adjustable straps, and no wire to make sure you feel supported and comfortable while you work up a sweat.

Fitness and exercise is no longer just a recommendation – it should be a core component in every woman’s life. Women’s Health magazine reported that 1 in 3 women experience breast pain when working out and feel they have no other choice than to opt out.  Bloom Bras are front-zip sports bras easily adjustable for every activity and are always comfortable to wear.  The bra moves with you through normal weight gain and loss throughout your cycle.

Meet The Founder

I founded Bloom Bras out of frustration. It is an engineering challenge not a design flaw.

I partnered with NASA, shipping and packaging experts and celebrity corset designer to Oprah Winfrey and Adele to develop a sports bra that adjusts to the body.

Designed without harmful underwire, it lifts the breasts rather than squashing them removing pressure on the shoulders and ribs. This allows for natural movement of the breast and uninterrupted circulation of the blood, improving your posture and physique. We are now the most body inclusive line on the market (28C - 56L).

No Underwire or Velcro

Designed without harmful underwire or velcro, it works like a shelf to lift the breasts rather than squashing them, distributing weight throughout the back and sides rather than putting pressure over the shoulders and across the ribs.

This allows for natural movement of the breast and uninterrupted circulation of the body’s essential systems, contributing to improved posture and physique.

I lead a very active lifestyle but for me, the main challenge was finding a sports bra that gave me enough support yet didn’t make me feel like I was wearing a suit of armor or a medieval torture device.

“The average breast size has risen from a 34B to a 34DD in the past 10 years, yet sports bras only cater up to a D cup. So the rest of us are basically squeezed out of space – pun intended!”

What's in the Name?

I named my company after my grandma who gave me several things that make who I am – a love of travel and food as well as my big boobs.  When I lost her to breast cancer and became very involved in the community. The Bloom Bra is designed specifically to work with those women who have had non-elective reconstructive surgery.  Mastectomy bras for women are dated.  Post surgery bras, according to doctors, should be breathable, comfortable and wicking without underwire.  These were some of the key pillars Bloom Bras used in design.

Bloom Bras will always donate bras to women who are getting back on their feet.
